A Refutation and Response to Mormonism

(Being a rejection of a Faith and not of a people)

Note: I am not anti-Mormon (I believe the preferred term these days is bigot), but I am anti-heresy and anti-false-Christs.

The purpose of this page is to inform and to refute certain claims in defense of my Faith. If you would like to view the original Book of Mormon from 1830, before a good many changes were made to it, simply click on the image of the book to the right. Other texts are available below.

Mormonism comprises a body of false doctrines which has been used to lead many poor, good (in the worldly sense), unsuspecting, and decent (again in the worldly sense) folk away from the True God. The deception originally grew out of the confidence artistry of Joseph Smith, and when Smith later added into his newly founded religion the secret rites of Freemasonry, he added mystery and mysticism that had otherwise been previously lacking. This effort earned him the disdain of Freemasons in the 19th century as the historical record shows.

In condemnation of Mormonism, I present their own texts on this page because, contrary to that which has been taught often by their representatives, their writings demonstrate clearly for all to see that their organization is not compatible with Christianity based upon sound interpretation of Holy Scriptures. Viewed under the light of True Scripture with the aid of the Holy Spirit, all that is wrong should spring quickly to the reader's eye. The curious can see for themselves statements like the much rumored "white and delightsome" and the infamous writing that was written upon the rent of a garment, both of which have been presented as inspired by God Himself through His "only approved prophet" to His "only approved church." 

"Latter-day Saints do not draw their doctrine from a reading of the Bible--as in all things, they are primarily guided by modern revelation." (FAIR Mormon Answers)

From the 1840 edition of the Book of Mormon which Joseph Smith allegedly corrected to remove the appearance of racism which had been evident in the 1830 edition:

For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceeding fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people, the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them. And thus saith the Lord God, I will cause that they shall be loathsome unto thy people, save they shall repent of their iniquities. And cursed shall be the seed of him that mixeth with their seed: for they shall be cursed even with the same cursing... And because of their cursing... they did become an idle people full of mischeif and subtlety, and did seek in the wilderness for beasts of prey (pages 72-73)

In other words, Joseph Smith was claiming that God gave people dark skin so that they would appear "loathsome" because they were sinful. And according to Joseph Smith, any who mixed with people who had dark skin would find their children cursed. It is unclear to me from this excerpt whether or not he was also saying that they were committing acts of bestiality. These are the things which the Latter Day Saints have long taught regarding people of color, which they printed and sold as the very words of God. I have been called a bigot for opposing the teachings of the LDS Church. Strong words coming from an organization which was founded upon racist doctrines. Although I commend their leaders for revising doctrine in the interest of reducing the racial hostilities promoted by the founders of their Faith, I reject the claim put forth that these things largely grew out of the leadership of Brigham Young. He did not write the Book of Mormon, which clearly promoted racism in its earliest form and clearly does to this very day. I couldn't make this stuff up, and it's not just my view of the Mormon Faith. Others more experienced and knowledgeable regarding Mormonism than myself seem to agree with my understanding of its racist doctrines and origins.

If we read the article I linked out to over at NPR, the strategy for dealing with this reality now appears to be to deny that the theology was ever seriously practiced by Joseph Smith and so history must take precedent over theology. History over theology? Does it seem reasonable then that if the Mormon leadership now is claiming that they don't need the guidance of the Book of Mormon that it should be relevant to anyone else? If it is no longer relevant to the Mormon, why should anyone bother with it at all? History over theology. We have only ourselves to blame for these things since they are only echoes of our own sins as a people before God because this is the only excuse many have for a number of things Christians are doing today, things that are not supported and, in some cases, are even condemned Scripturally.

Let me put the question to you then: am I prejudiced for criticizing the false teachings of a counterfeit spiritual substitute which has been foisted upon innocent (before the laws of men) and unsuspecting persons for indecent and immoral purposes? Am I a hypocrite for wanting the average Mormon to know the Truth about God, about their leaders since the very beginning, and to experience the same joys and freedoms that I enjoy? Am I narrow-minded for wishing to protect those who have not yet been victimized by the villainous in the Name of God Almighty? What would I be then if I believed Mormonism to be a seduction of the Devil and yet kept my silence? A coward? A deceiver? Worse! Would I not be saying by my actions, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” Murderer! I refuse to tread that path.

The Mormon Church claims that all of Christianity had it wrong from the end of the Bible until Joseph Smith appeared. The first problem with this is that it supposes that God is less than sovereign and was incapable of guiding His people until Joseph Smith appeared to lead humanity from darkness to light. What arrogance! What insult to our Lord! There is no middle ground, unless you seek to compromise Truth and the Gospel of our Lord. Rest assured, those who do so have no inheritance in the Kingdom of our God. Jesus’ message is not one of compromise, yet everyone who welcomes LDS doctrines acts as though it were. Hear the words of the false prophet: 

I love friendship and truth; I love virtue and law; I love the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and they are my brethren; and I shall live; and because I live they shall live also! (Tullidge p. 404)

Where have I heard that before? Oh, yeah, it was: 

Yet a little while and the world sees Me no more; but you see Me. Because I live, you shall live also. (John 14:19)

No further evidence of Smith's messiah complex seems needed. He claimed that his friends were going to have life because he was going to have life. Apparently, Jesus didn't even enter into the equation for Smith.  This was the man who founded the Faith which now claims to be Christian, and yet nothing could be further from the Truth.  Can Mormons be "good" people? Yes. Does that make Mormon doctrine Christian? How could it? If I claim to be taught by a great teacher, but I reject his teachings and instead rely upon the teachings of another, whose follower would I be in reality? The common argument is that the LDS Church must be Christian because His Name is right in the title of their organization. Anyone can put any name they want on a building or a business card, but that doesn't make them affiliated with the person whose name was used.  If a friend of mine sent me to buy him a Whopper, and I took a Big Mac and put it in a BK wrapper and gave it to him, it still wouldn't be a Whopper. And my friend would be right to assume either I was playing a joke or I'd gone off my rocker. Just because you say it's a Whopper, doesn't make it a Whopper.

Just because you say you're a Christian, doesn't mean you're a Christian unless there is some additional evidence that proves that you are in fact a Christian. Lots of people say they're Christians, but lots of people don't really even know what that means. The Spanish Inquisition was no more a Christian movement than would be the waterboarding of suspected terrorists. All the genuine evils that are associated with Christianity have not been done by genuine Christians but by the servants of Satan, and the Bible even supports this assertion. The argument that the LDS must be Christian because His Name is right in the name of their organization doesn't prove anything except that Joseph Smith had heard His Name and decided to co-opt it for certain inherent benefits that might make it easier for him to con people and manipulate them for his own personal benefit.

Read the Word of the Lord:

Everyone transgressing[, who violates, neglects, turns aside from, oversteps, or abandons his trust,] and not remaining in the teaching of Christ, does not have God: he who remains in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you without bringing this [same ]teaching, do not receive him into your house and give him no greeting—for he who gives him greeting shares in his evil works. (2 John 1:9-11)

Read again:

And there is no salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

Therefore, since we see that we must adhere to the teachings of Christ and be saved in Christ alone, we find ourselves separated by an eternal and infinite gulf from the Mormon Faith because of the doctrines of Mormonism (if we are indeed Christians), just as far as Abraham and Lazarus were removed from the rich man in the pit. Why the necessity of a gulf between Christendom and Mormonism? I point again to the claims which Jesus made regarding Himself,

Jesus said to them, "Surely, surely, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I AM." They took up stones therefore to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple. (John 8:58-9)

And again:

“I said, therefore, to you that you shall die in your sins; unless you believe that I AM you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24)

And also this:

When, therefore, he said to them, “I AM,” they went backward and fell to the ground. (John 18:6)

And again,

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

And finally:

Jesus answered, “The first: Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God, the Lord is one: and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength; this, the first command. The second, similarly: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these."

And the scribe said to him, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth that God is one; and there is no other beside Him: and to love Him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as one’s self—these are much more than all whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices.”

And when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the Kingdom of God.” And no one afterward dared to question Him.

And Jesus began to speak [of this] and said, as He taught in the Temple, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David? David himself said in the Holy Spirit, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool."' David himself called Him ‘Lord;’ how is He his son?" And the common people heard him gladly. (Mark 12:29-37)

You see, people who say that Jesus never claimed to be God are guilty of one of two things:

1. Ignorance or 2. Lying

The Mormon Church does not teach its followers to understand these things, as their (mis)understanding of the Trinity displays since, as their current doctrine claims, they believe that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are three separate gods and not part of one, wholly singular yet plural Trinitarian being. For the Mormon, the statement “God is one” means only that They are one in purpose and not being, as they themselves can tell you:

There is only one Jesus Christ. Mormons believe in the Jesus whose deeds and teachings are found in the Bible, but Mormon doctrine rejects the creeds and reasonings of post-New Testament Christian theologians. Mormonism teaches that to correct errors in understanding about God, God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith in his First Vision, and called him to be a prophet, just as prophets were called in Biblical times, to teach the truth about Jesus and to call all men to repentance…

This shows the Jesus that Mormons worship: the great I AM, the beginning and the end, the omniscient, omnipotent Creator of the world, the Savior of the world, and man’s advocate with God the Father…

It is true that Mormons do not believe in the Trinity as most other Christian Churches do… Mormons believe in three separate beings united in purpose, but not in substance. They believe in a Godhead that is make [sic] up of three distinct personages that are one in purpose and will. (More Good Foundation)

While you’re considering the implications of what you’ve just read also think on this:

The message of Mormonism is that Jesus Christ has called prophets in these last days to prepare the world for His imminent return and all are invited to ‘come unto Christ’ and be baptized by His authorized servants. (More Good Foundation)

I bet we can all guess who these "authorized" servants are. As I've already said elsewhere, God is a Triune Being. Christianity understands this from Scripture and by the aid of the Holy Spirit. Mormonism rejects the Truth inherent in the statement “I AM.” They deny this by claiming that Jesus is יהוה from the Old Testament, but the Mormon teachings display a lack of understanding of the meaning inherent in The Name. Jesus did appear in the Old Testament, and Israel tempted Him in the wilderness, but it isn't as simple as the spiritual shell game being played with the claim that God the Father is just some other god. They also teach that God the Father came to Mary as a man and had physical sex with her, which is patently false but well in keeping with their doctrine that God was once a man and became exalted by His good deeds: 

"As man now is, God once was; as God is now man may be." (Lorenzo Snow)

There is only one God. Beside Him there is clearly no other. He always was and forevermore shall be. They bring another Christ, a false one.

What Christ teaches is that He, in fact, is God, and there is no other God. It is for this reason that He immediately follows His interaction with the scribe with a question about the Son of David, pointing to Himself as both David's Source and David's Descendant. Truly, there is no other but one God. The Mormon teachings miss the significance of this passage. God is three persons in one being. By rejecting this, the Mormon rejects God’s Truth and misses the answer to just Who this Jesus really is. That seems pretty significant for a group that claims His Name and claims that all of post-New Testament Christianity prior to Joseph Smith, Jr. was in error. No matter how much they change doctrine to try to fit their adherents in with the real followers of Christ, they cannot succeed unless we embrace a lie and reject the teachings of Christ, for Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, and all their leaders are, in fact, mistaken about the most fundamental aspects of Jesus’ Identity and Divine Nature. And if they do not even understand Who He is, how can they claim to restore to anyone the True Religion of God? Do not be deceived because the only reason they would have for trying to blend among us, whom they believe mistaken and deceived, would be to convert us to their vision, to correct our ways with their teachings. The denial of the Trinity is only one of many fundamental errors made by the Mormon leaders and palmed off upon those misled by them, but I use it as a prime example of the depth and degree of their error. The schism between the two Faiths goes to the very core of Who God is and therefore traditional Mormonism cannot be reconciled to any form of Christianity based upon a sound understanding of the Holy Bible. The True Church faces this threat in part because it has allowed itself to become fractured—first by frequently failing to concede when it has been in error and second by too often placing much greater weight upon individuals than upon community, and for this reason many outsiders fail to understand how this current conflict is not just another case of interdenominational squabbles. The solution to the problem is not hatred toward Mormons, but a return to the teachings of God. If we simply repent and return to our God, God would not only bless our efforts with a unifying spirit, His Holy Spirit in fact, He would also lead those He has called out of the false church very quickly afterwards.

Mormons are human beings created in the Image of God. They deserve love and respect as much as any of us, but I’m speaking of the average person and not the leaders and those in positions of power, trust, and authority who continue to work to deceive the world. I think it is in part because the leaders have been guilty of deception that they require all of their youth to engage in missionary work that they, too, might share the burden of the deception. But it is not so unless those who do so also understand that they are deceiving people, and this only they themselves and God can know. The deceivers are still stamped in the Image of God, but do not welcome them in. Do not do it! Yet I urge you to continue to reach out to the man, woman, and child being ground underneath the oppressive machine built by wicked men through the bloody backs and sweaty brows of those who went before. Who knows but that there may be Sons and Daughters of the Living God in there, waiting for someone to call their names? Clearly, I do not believe they are all beyond hope—perish the thought. No, we ought to be careful how we tread with respect to these people, because some may come out, turn, and be saved.

Right now, it is very easy to overlook false doctrines because the Church is being wooed. But any suitor will woo a maiden in pursuit of his desires. And, regrettably, a good number of suitors do not reveal their true natures until they've grasped the object of their intent.  Be wary, Church. Do not be blindly led down the primrose path, and do not be led up the garden path either. There is a reason for the actions and behaviors on display at the present. Satan often begins his pursuit with seduction, but it is only after we've embraced the seduction that the claws come out and the roaming lion devours its prey. It is not by accident that they do all in their might to convince us of their good intentions while securing positions of power in our government. Satan himself comes as an angel of light, so do not be surprised when his followers present themselves similarly. The devil comes softly, but woe to the one who finds himself endebted to him.

Read the message of one of Brigham Young’s wives to her sisters in chains:

Should this book meet your eyes, I wish you most distinctly to understand that my quarrel is not with you. On the contrary, the warmest and tenderest feelings of my heart are strongly enlisted in your favor. As a rule, you have been uniformly kind to me. Some of you I have dearly loved. I have respected and honored you all. My love and respect have never failed, but have rather increased with separation. I think of you often with the sincerest sympathy for your helpless condition, bound to a false religion, and fettered by a despotic system; and I wish from the depths of my heart that I could bring you, body and soul, out from the cruel bondage, and help you to find the freedom, rest, and peace which have become so sweet to me since my eyes have been opened to the light of a true and comforting faith.

Since I have left Utah, I know that some of you have censured me severely, and have joined in personal denunciations. But I know that you are actuated by a mistaken zeal for the cause which you feel yourselves bound to sustain. You, no doubt, regard my cause with horror. I look upon your lives with pity.

I have taken the liberty of describing your characters and situations. I was not prompted by the slightest animosity toward you, but because the public are interested in you, and curious concerning you, and I felt that I could give to the world a true story of your lives, and, at the same time, do you justice, and let you be seen as you are in my eyes, which are not dimmed by prejudice.

I was driven to the course I am pursuing by sheer desperation, as some of you, with whom I have exchanged confidences, well know. The motives which have been attributed to me, and the charges that have been made against me, are as utterly false and foreign to my nature as darkness is to light. You, at least, should not misjudge me. You should know me better, and you do. Even your bitter prejudice, and your disapprobation of the step I have taken, cannot make you believe me other than I am. You know that apostasy from Mormonism does not necessarily degrade a person, and sink them at once to the lowest depths of infamy.

If, as is taught,--and as I suppose you believe,--I have lost the light of the gospel, and departed from “the faith once delivered to the saints,” am I not rather deserving your compassion than your censure? Your own hearts and consciences must answer that.

The women of Utah should know that I shall vindicate their rights, and defend their characters, at all times and in all places. Their sorrow has been my sorrow; their cause is my cause still. My heart goes out to them all, but more especially to you. You have been my companions and my sisters in tribulation. Now our paths diverge. I go on the way that I have chosen alone, while you stay sorrowing together. I wish I had the power to influence you to throw off the fetters which bind you, and to walk triumphantly forth into the glories of a faith, whose foundation is God the compassionate Father, whose principles are those of a tender mercy, whose ruling spirit is love. Alas! I cannot do it; but I pray that the good Father in His infinite mercy may open your eyes to His glory, and lead you forth His children to do His blessed will. (Young 11-2)

Although the Mormon Serpent, by which I mean that one that resides at the heart of the teachings of the leaders of their Faith, has done to Ms. Young what it does to every soul who dares oppose it, her testimony remains as a witness and a window to the origins of that particular evil. Although since her death her character has been much maligned, I ask you if her words sound anything but sincere, her motives anything but pure. 

            If Ms. Young’s address wasn’t enough to move you, consider the plight of all those children—some born into a culture they didn’t choose, some born into a polygamous family with less than ideal values presented as the very Will of God, some stolen from parents and siblings (who were murdered to further Mormondom and build up Brigham Young’s legacy, his own personal domain, and also his posterity), and other children who were given over to satisfy the unsavory desires of wicked old men. And, among all of these outrages, imagine children brainwashed into beliefs formed by the admixture of satanic lies and God’s Truth—sitting in classrooms repeating prescribed answers to the same questions over and over again. As Americans, we might like to think these things only happen in far off lands, but we need look no farther than our own backyard to discover bizarre propagandist brainwashing programs. A careful reading of a Mormon children’s catechism is an eye-opening experience. I think it might be beneficial to read the entire book, but for now consider the following quotes.

From a Mormon Children's Catechism:      

Chapter III. Revelations of God to Man.

1.      Q. Has God given many revelations to men?

A. Yes, a great number.

2.      Q. Where have we any account of his doing so?

A. In the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Book of Doctrine and Covenants, and other publications of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. ...

Chapter IV. Plurality of Gods.

1.      Q. Are there more Gods than one?

A. Yes, many. 1 Cor. Viii. 5.

Repeat the passage.

There be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth (as there be gods many, and lords many). …

5.       Q. How can the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit be one?

A. They are one in character and attributes, but not in substance….

Chapter V. Person, Character and Attributes of God.

1.      Q. What kind of a being is God?

A. He is in the form of a man. …

4.      Q. Is it not said that God is a Spirit?

A. Yes, the Scriptures say so. …

5.      Q. How, then, can God be like man?

A. Man has a spirit, though clothed with a body, and God is similarly constituted.

A. Yes, like unto a man’s body in figure. …

Chapter VII. Council in Heaven—Rebellion of Lucifer—Creation or Organization of the Earth.

1.      Q. When the spirits pertaining to this earth were together, what event took place?

A. A grand council, or series of councils, was held in heaven, when it was determined that this earth should be organized as a dwelling place for the spirits while they took upon themselves bodies; that all the works of organization should be concluded in seven days, or periods of time; and that on the seventh day the works should be sanctified, and the day also.

A. They determined that the organization of the earth, etc., should be prosecuted according to the will of God. ...

Chapter VIII. The Fall. …

14.        Q. Did Adam and Eve lament or rejoice because they had transgressed the commandment, and become acquainted with the nature of evil and good?

A. They rejoiced and praised God. …

Chapter XIV. The Church of Christ.

1.      Q. What are those who believe and obey the truth called?

A. Saints.

2.      Q. What are they called as an organized body of people?

A. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

3.      Q. Are there more Churches of Christ on the earth than one?

A. No. There can be but one, and though that one may have many branches, they must all be united, and be subject to one head.

4.      Q. Is it right that any branch of the Church of Christ should call itself the Church of England, or the Wesleyan Methodist Church, or the New Connexion Methodist Church, or the Reformed Methodist Church, or the General Baptist Church, or the Particular Baptist Church?

A. No. God highly disapproves of such names being applied to his Church or any portion thereof. ...

5.      Q. Are these societies which use such names branches of the Church of Christ?

A. No, for they have been founded in the wisdom of this world, by men who have not received authority from God. ...  

9.       Q. What are persons who separate themselves from the Church of Christ called?

A. Apostates, because they apostatize or fall away from truth and righteousness.

10.      Q. Are the various religious societies apostate churches?

A. No, because they never constituted any part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. ...

Chapter XVIII. Dispensation of the Fulness[sic] of Times…. 

30.       Q. Will the Lord inflict great judgments upon the wicked?

A. He will visit them with war and famine, plague and pestilence, until they are utterly wasted.  

31.        Q. How will the righteous be engaged during the time the wicked are thus punished?

A. Those who obey the Gospel will gather together on the continent of America, and build up the New Jerusalem, and other cities, and also many temples to the Lord, and become a holy, prosperous and mighty people, and will be called the Zion of the Lord, and he will reveal his knowledge and power and glory among them, to the astonishment of the nations.

32.         Q. Where will the New Jerusalem be commenced?

A. In Jackson County, Missouri, where a temple, the site of which was dedicated in 1831, will be eventually built.

33.          Q. Why will so many temples be erected?

A. Because in them the Saints will be instructed in the knowledge of God, will be baptized for those persons who have died without a knowledge of the Gospel, and will attend to ordinances of salvation and exaltation for themselves and their dead friends. (Jaques 8, 9, 13-6, 22-4, 28, 32, 52-4, 77, 84-5)

I chose just a few of the most disturbing passages I found and these quotes should not require a detailed explanation for you to understand just what’s wrong with them. I find it interesting that Ms. Young wrote in her account of Mormon bitterness and desire for revenge against the citizens of the state of Missouri in the early to mid-1870’s, which appears to be corroborated by the mention of a future return to Missouri in one of their children’s catechisms from the late 1880’s, over forty years after the date they were driven out of that state—long after the death of the “prophet” who initially put forth the claim. Although her account has been attacked by certain parties and generally painted as being completely fanciful, she actually makes it sound in her text as if Mormon interest in a return to Missouri might be waning by the time she wrote her exposé—a claim incapable of being completely borne out if the catechism’s reference to Missouri over ten years later is any indication. Perhaps, rather than bearing a grudge or grinding an axe, as has been portrayed, she was instead too kind.

The comparison between Mormon doctrines and Scriptures makes it quite clear that Mormonism has been teaching what plainly amounts to lies regarding God and the Scriptures for the benefit of its leaders, so-called prophets, and all similar members of the upper echelons of service. A quick search of historical e-books on Google (this last is especially interesting since it clearly illuminates how strategies have changed in the past century-plus) or elsewhere will support these facts. Are there not good things in the Mormon catechism as well? Yes, to be sure there are some very good and even True things. However, Satan’s oldest stratagem is no less potent today; he’s still mixing Truth and lies to corrupt and lead astray the unwary.

Now, hear me. The Mormon intolerance for other Christian faiths is clear in the record. Given their violent past and, at times, fanatical devotion to their leaders, what really is there to keep them from doing to Christians the same thing that the Catholic church did when it had sufficient resources and the will to begin to persecute those who disagreed with their interpretation of Scriptures? At one time, the church at Rome was not much different from the other churches in the New Testament, but later on they found they could not abide any dissenting opinions and set about silencing them. Jews and Muslims were not the only ones to suffer under Roman persecution. Look to the historical record of Mormonism’s bloody beginnings to see what wicked men will do when they cannot abide by God’s Will. Read the accounts of the Mountain Meadows Massacre in the texts offered here and elsewhere. The idea of a Mormon conspiracy seems laughable to our current mindset, but consider the possibilities. If Islam is capable of terrorism, why not false Christianity? Surely, the Oklahoma City bombing proved it possible. Just because there are decent people in Mormonism, at least in a worldly sense, that doesn't mean there aren't scoundrels as well.

Much has transpired since the Mountain Meadows Massacre, and while Mormon power remains consolidated, their congregations are much more widespread. They have control over much of Utah and also many small communities around our country, especially in rural areas. They have strong ties to various organizations like the NSA, and people in positions of great power and trust in our government. They have a great deal more money, power, and media influence than most people realize. Orson Scott Card and Stephenie Meyer clearly prove this point. Also, as I think I’ve illustrated from their own texts, the Mormon religion has been, at least at various times and to greater or lesser extent, possessed of a cultish mindset. Most things written in favor of the Mormon faith seem to be written by members of the church. Most things written in opposition are written by those who are, according to the Mormons, bigoted or anti-Mormon or lacking in morals—written or spoken in a tone that demands immediate dismissal. Such unified will can be a powerful force. In the end, there can only be two bodies, the True Body and a false bride.

If you do not believe that Mormonism presents a genuine threat to Christianity, just look at the fantasies some among them engage to pass time in roleplaying games like Dogs in the Vineyard. Knowing their history from the beginning, it disturbs me that a number of them fantasize and romanticize violence against those who profess different ideas about God and Man even now. Who do you think they pretend to kill in that game when they’re “executing heretics” of the “True Faith of the King of Life?” Sure, the Mountain Meadows Massacre was a long time ago, but these fantasies are being played out as wholesome Mormon entertainment right now.

Please, Christian, open your eyes before it is too late. Just look around at the evidence against the leaders of their Faith. Consider their history. Consider their ongoing efforts against any who dare to oppose them—the clues are there, even if they must be searched out with meticulous care. The Mormon leader has been very careful to cover his tracks and silence opposition over the last two centuries. Consider their revisionist form of Christianity and how for them the truth changes every time they realize that another one of their false doctrines won’t be tolerated any longer by outsiders.          

Mormon, I do not attack you. I attack your so-called leaders, prophets, and shepherds—charlatans and con-men all. I attack your religious texts and doctrines because they were written by cheats and liars for the purpose of misleading and enslaving others, and for the corruption and defilement of their children. And now those same lies are being perpetuated by men of like moral caliber and ethical fiber to the Sons of Perdition who led your ancestors and forefathers to Utah. And each time the Sons of God attempt to show you that you are being led into error, those in power over your people change the “facts” to suit them and support their newly reformed and otherwise untenable position. Like the founder of the Faith, they are ready with an answer for all occasions that they might forestall the inevitable. I pray that your eyes would be opened to the nature of their schemes. I pray that your ears would be opened to the nature of their lies.

Joseph Smith, for a great many reasons, was at the very least guilty of blasphemy and heresy. He, like Satan, said, “I shall ascend and be like the Most High.” He actually had the nerve to place himself on equal footing with Christ. Utter. Satanic. Nonsense! Joseph Smith was met by an angel alright, a fallen angel named Lucifer! He was possessed of a spirit truly—and that of Antichrist.

Sons and Daughters of the Living God, wherever you are, your Lord knows your struggles and your pain. He calls you. Come out. If a Mormon, be Mormon no more. Come today and kneel before the True Christ. Come today into a full knowledge of the Truth. Abandon the lies sold to you and to those who came before you. Abandon the lies sold to your families and friends. Abandon the sellers of false paradise and the defenders of unfruitful faith. You cannot become a god by the efforts of your hands. Come to your Father so that your good deeds will bring a full, True reward as is fitting. God loves you. Jesus suffered for you. Come in and know Him better today. The door is open to you; answer while He yet waits. You know it in your heart, in the center of your being—you are not where you are meant to be spiritually, perhaps otherwise as well. I pray to God you will be moved by Him, that you will turn to Him, and that He will richly bless you as you truly seek to do His will.

Update 2/23/2016:

Credible scientific evidence exists that the Book of Mormon is a lie, that Joseph Smith is not its "translator," and that a good bit of it was likely written by Sidney Rigdon, Smith's accomplice in confidence, Oliver Cowdery, another accomplice, and one Solomon Spalding. 

In a study conducted at Stanford University and published in Oxford Journals, available here, the outcome demonstrates that they are the most likely authors of the Book of Mormon based upon similarities between it and other writings by these same men. The findings give weight to the old accusation that Rigdon stole a manuscript belonging to Solomon Spalding, which he apparently had access to, and increases the likelihood that a certain theory is true: Members of the LDS church conspired to produce a false copy of the Spalding manuscript for the purpose of dispatching all rumors regarding its role in the origins of the Mormon Faith. It is this author's opinion that such evidence may be in part responsible for the currently ongoing movement by LDS representatives to distance themselves from the Book of Mormon in general by downplaying its importance to the modern Mormon.  

Update 5/9/2021:

The child born of the flesh persecutes the child born of the Spirit. Thus it is written. Thus it shall ever be. Just as others have wielded their power to silence dissenting voices, voices that spoke truth, so, too, shall the LDS church when it arises to the heights of power it pursues. They have temples and stakes in every part of this nation. They have men in high positions of authority in our government. Their prophecies speak of making this nation into their seat of power. The NSA stores and processes massive amounts of information about us all through its data center located in the heart of Mormondom, on a Utah National Guard base, bosomed up to Salt Lake City. Will Babylon the Great arise through her? Will Jezebel walk again through her? Will the mark be delivered through her? Joseph Smith spoke and operated in the spirit of antichrist. Another comes who will lead the way into a shining, terrible future, proclaiming himself to be God. Will he arise through her? Time will tell.

Here is further evidence from their own hands, minds, and hearts that they will oppose us, given their views about us, given the opportunity to do so: Dogs in the Vineyard. I have been a gamer most of my life. I grew up on video games and role-playing games. I don’t take issue with DITV because it presents a community story as game for entertainment and education (one learns about oneself, others, and the world through play). I take issue with it because it presents, as fuel for fantasy, the idea (read the article on Wikipedia), that players play the role of “God’s Watchdogs,” riding “from town to town” in “a West that never quite was” and, among other things, “enforcing the judgments of the True Faith of the King of Life” which includes “executing heretics.” These dogs (how ironic) in the vineyard “have absolute authority within the Faith, but not within the laws of the Territorial authority, and so their actions can lead to conflict with the government in the East.” Does the Mountain Meadows Massacre seem so far away in a dim and distant past now? Given the way Mormons view Christ’s Kingdom, seeing as they consider themselves “God’s only approved church,” just who do you think these heretics would be?

The writing is on the wall. Practice and play are far more important and serious than we realize. Kittens who play with mice while young, kill and eat them when matured. Bullfrogs and butterflies have both been born again—the butterfly in semblance of Christ, and the bullfrog in semblance of a belly on legs, devouring all it may, like those spirits in Revelation when fully matured.

Dogs surely do run in the vineyard of our God, but He will have the final word on the matter. Those little foxes ruin vineyards, but they will not escape Him. The word translated “foxes” might also be translated “jackal” a word “historically used for many small canines.” They belong to the subtribe Canina, which also includes common dogs among its members. They think themselves big while they trample, but He thinks them very small. Do I speak symbolically of Mormons here? I speak of dogs in the vineyard of our Lord. God knows who they are. God will deal with them for love of the True Bride of Christ. Today, many will scoff at what I write, but will history vindicate me? Will they laugh in 100 years with the aid of hindsight and all that comes?

Binding Loose Threads

Joseph Smith and Brigham Young produced a harvest with their lives that we may know them by their fruits. And, while the puppets of their leaders run for high offices in our government and the NSA is cozying up to the people of Utah, we are still reaping that harvest to this day. If I lay any condemnation upon anyone for being Mormon, it is only to the extent that they know the Truth and yet have facilitated the lie. Their promoters and proponents remain enemies of God until they denounce their Faith and come to a true relationship with God and His authentic Christ, Jesus. Yet we have no one to blame but ourselves for allowing so many petty matters and personal desires to divide us and so many heresies to be labeled sound doctrine. God has tolerated such things in the past, but those things will be put quickly to an end. 

If you really want to understand where the doctrines of the Latter Day Saints movement fail or miss the mark, these texts should provide the beginnings of a solid basis for understanding. But always remember that there are a good many people within the LDS church who truly need Jesus, who have suffered beneath the yoke of the enemy's oppression. A great many of them have suffered for beliefs which were thrust upon them unwillingly. Pray for them. Bless and do not curse. Though their Church is a servant of the enemy and an enemy of True Christian Faith, we must see Mormons as people made in the Image of God and worth salvaging.

Now this last set of texts provide historic accounts of the acts and atrocities committed by the early Mormon Church and particularly by its founders and leaders. Nothing regarding the impacts of Mormondom is quite as revealing as these early accounts which stand as revelation of the lives and the fruits of these men who founded a movement against Jesus and counter to His teachings. The accounts of suffering at their hands, and the murderous acts of terrorism committed by them stand as a monument to the foundation of a false Faith that follows and promotes the teachings of rogues, devils, charlatans, liars, and traitors to both God and Man. Also presented here are some texts that debunk the lies serving as a basis for Mormonism.
